Call for Abstracts

The Organizing Committee of the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology (JSN2011) welcomes the submission of abstracts for the academic program on Movement Disorder. This program is to give an opportunity for the young neurologist from East Asian countries to present their research. Accepted abstracts will be presented at the poster presentations, and will be published in the final program/abstract book. The organizing committee is pleased to announce that it will provide the authors/presenters of the accepted abstracts with registration fee to the JSN2011 and travel award.

The Number of Abstracts to be accepted: 20 to 30 abstracts
Travel Award: US$500.00 for each author/presenter

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINE

Abstracts submitted must adhere to the following specifications:

Abstracts must be formatted as a Microsoft Word document and:
  • single-spaced
  • font: Arial size 12
  • margins: at least 1 inch on all side

Abstracts must be typed in English, and contain as a minimum:
  • Presenting author’s name and affiliation
  • Presenting author’s email address
  • Corresponding person’s name, email address, and affiliation (if different from presenting author)
  • Abstract Title
  • Abstract Body
  • Co-authors’ name and affiliations (if any)
Authors’ Name and Affiliation

All authors’ name(s) begin with full first name followed by middle initial and last name, the last name being in CAPITAL.

The presenting author’s name must be underlined. Otherwise the first name appearing in the abstract will be taken as the presenting author.

Affiliation(s) should be annotated by superscript numbers.
Abstract Title
-
The abstract title should be within 15 words, being concise and describing the research.
Abstract Body
-
The abstract body must be limited to 170 words under the headings of purposes; methods; results; and conclusions.
Other Technical Requirements
-
Use standard abbreviations and place special or unusual abbreviations in parenthesis after the full word appears. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.

Authors are strongly advised to ensure the accuracy of the submitted abstracts. Any mistakes in literature or in scientific facts will be published as what is typed.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Please email your abstract as an attachment in a Microsoft Word document to the secretariat ( ) by April 18th Monday, 2011.

Confirmation of Receipt

You will receive a confirmation email that your abstract has been received. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours, please send an email message with the title of “REQUEST FOR CONFIRMATION (Your Name)”, leaving the message body blank.

ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE AND POSTER GUIDELINES

Decision notices, along with presentation instructions, will be emailed to the presenter of the accepted abstract approximately during the third or fourth week of April 2011.
