Attraction (Dance Performance)
Nakamise Barbaros is a samba team founded in Asakusa, Tokyo, in 1980.
The members come from diverse backgrounds of age, occupation, nationality, etc., and were fascinated by the rich culture of Brazilian samba.
In order to participate in the Annual Asakusa Samba Carnival, the team creates the performance theme, music, costumes, art, choreography, etc., from scratch every year. They enjoy not only practicing dancing and the instruments for the Carnival but also the various activities throughout the year. Nakamise Barbaros is the kind of samba team where adults really enjoy themselves while bringing smiles and laughter to the audience.
